Originally, placing the Rat Zapper Classic did not work, as there were other goodies around and the device was somewhat hidden.
Last night, before activating the device I placed all the food in the fridge and closed the trash. This meant that the easiest meal to get to was in the trap, and it was along the wall so that the mouse can "see" through the other side (instead of seeing a wall, as in the past), instead of sensing a trap.
This morning the red light was blinking and I didn't have to look inside: part of the tail (~5") was sticking out. It was that big.
And the bottom line is: think like a rodent and this thing works!

05/07/2009 I am very pleased that I recieved my rat zapper yesterday. I put some peanut butter in a pop lid and by morning I had a rat. I tried poison but couldn't get rid of all of them, I am very pleased. Thank you rat zapper.

05/01/2009 My elderly parents had an infestation in their car port. After we bought the rat-zapper and started using it ALL of the rats were eventually captured and zapped. The device is easy to use and especially good
for people who get queasy about the whole subject. This is bloodless, no mess. I cannot say enough good things about this product. It works EVERY TIME!

GREETINGS from the FIRST Indonesian fan of the Rat Zapper. In the photo you can see he'd ike to keep his last supper forever (a yummy KFC skin)
MY ZAPPING RECORD:
Total Zapped: 15 mice and rats
Record in one-day: 3 zapped
Me and family are so pleased with the Rat Zapper performance! We have never had a rat trap that is so easy to use, hassle-free and effective! And our satisfactions have even brought us the decision to partner with the manufacture & introduce Rat Zapper's to Indonesia.
Fellow zappers!! I would like to invite all of you to join in our Rat Zapper Fan Club on Facebook. The place where we can interact, throw new topics, discuss tricks&tips, upload photo and video, or, even participating in our biggest&baddest: rat contest! :) (On Facebook - search: Rat Zapper)
Come and join in; meet your fellow zappers around the world! And, of course, don't forget to tell your fellow Indonesian and the world how grateful you are to have RAT ZAPPER.

04/01/2009 Awesome, effective product! Buy one NOW! I initially set up the "classic rat zapper" with the pet food provided but was unlucky in capturing the rat. I tried a partially-opened Reese's peanut butter cup for the bait and zap! Was I excited about being rid of that nasty pest! I am resetting it today and if there are more of those nasty critters, they will be zapped too!

04/01/2009 These traps are the best ever. The wife and I had an issue with rats making nests under our deck, where we couldn't get to them. Standard traps would be found tripped, the rats are very quick. Set out a couple of these traps and didn't see any activity for a couple weeks, it is very true that rats are completely paranoid about "anything" new (even with food in it). Once we had one rat enter a trap, the others quickly followed until there were none left. I recommend this product to everyone I know, every chance I get.

03/27/2009 Having a husband who has a phobia about rats, it was always a worry where they would appear after being poisoned-not a pleasant surprise to find one underfoot! The ratzapper is wonderful! even though I am the one to dispose of them, I know they have gone! No worries with it even catching mice. Thoroughly recommend it. Have used Lithium batteries.
Thank you

03/24/2009 I live next to a foothill, and my small gated community is lush with plant life, fruit trees and swimming pools. It is a farmer's market for the roof rats. They scurry all over the place at night and leave droppings everywhere. My next door neighbor felt that we could team up and win the battle. I was sqeemish about committing to rat patrol with her, but she ordered two Rat Zapper Ultra boxes. I finally put mine out after having it sit in my garage for a couple months (again, squeemish, chicken sh**). One word: UNBELIEVABLE!!! How in the world could there be so many rats?! I am becoming desensitized to the gross ritual of dumping the rat each morning (at first I contemplated by the box for 5 minutes - not a pretty sight before your morning coffee). I have caught one EVERY SINGLE NIGHT - except for two nights - since the second night I put the box out. I think the reason for those two misses is because the rats were leary the first night, and the second miss was because I needed to clean it (it was buzzing but no rat). So in nine days I have caught 1 mouse and 6 rats. FYI, I have a system. Each morning I sweep the rat droppings off the ledges where the trap is so that I know if a rat came by (when the trap is still empty). That is how I knew something was wrong with the box when I saw droppings but no rat catch - I cleaned the box.
I read where you offer a monitor station where you can set several out without checking. I just got another Ultra in the mail and if I end up emptying two boxes each morning I am going to order even more, including the montor station.
Keep up the good work - great technology!
P.S. It is true that if it buzzes when you reset it, just turn the unit off and clean it (thick damp paper towels on the end of a stick).

03/20/2009 I got my Rat Zapper Ultra last August to help remedy my pack rat situation. The pack rats scour the neighborhood for anything they can carry, and hide it under MY grill. Not sure why; I guess they're bored. Anyway, this Rat Zapper Ultra is fantastic. I zapped 10 rats up until around November, when it seemed pack rat season had ended for the year. But last week (early March) it started again. I've zapped 2 in the past week.
I finally feel smarter than the pack rats..

03/06/2009 This is the best product hands down.
I live in Houston and it has caught three roof rats for me over 2 years. I've sealed my house, called two pest companies, put out traps and still they find ways into my attic. The Rat Zapper is a terrific investment and it is saving me heartache and frustration.
I recommend it to everyone.
Thank you for an awesome product!

02/24/2009 It took months to finally zap a garage rat (got many mice), but it worked. I'm very pleased. Mr. Rat looked like he went on to his next life quickly.

02/22/2009 I live near an open field and the rats are non-stop. My neighbor and I both have Rat Zappers and catch 3-4 per week between us. Since we don't want to use poison (which might kill other local wildlife) this method has been excellent.
At one point, the rats had found a way into the attic area above our house. The scratching was becoming irritating, We put the Rat Zapper up there, used the Rat Tail for ease of monitoring, and caught that filthy little guy in a couple of days.
No glue-no snap traps- no blood or guts. Done.

02/20/2009 Hi,
First off the gal that I spoke to today at around 9am western time was wonderful, give that girl a raise!
Second, I just love your product. It is the best out there. Every one should know about this product that has any rodent problem. Your Rat Zap saved me, I tried everything. After returning home from being away for two years, there was a rat infestation, I tried everything, nothing worked. I found you guys on the internet, ordered your blue zapper and it has been wonderful.
I didn't need it for awhile, put it away "stupidly" without washing it. I could not get it to work with new batteries, so called and the gal I talked recomended washing first and then new batteries. I'm trying this. I recomend your product to all who are in need.
Thank you!!!

02/03/2009 One morning I found the dog's marrow bone on the floor (pushed down from table!) with a huge hole chewed in plastic bag covering it and marrow gnawed out. This was a couple of days after I'd seen what looked like a mouse scurrying across kitchen floor very late at night.
I'd seen a few "mouse droppings" in the area as well over a couple of days.
Went to OSH home store and bought some glue traps -- no success; creature walked right across them -- I could see the footprints!!! How'd THAT happen?
Got some glue boards and more traps plus a few spring traps. Also decided to spend the $$ for a Rat Zapper Ultra. Looked like a good idea.
Set it all up and waited -- one, two, three and more days/nights passed. I'd see some droppings around but that was all. Drat!
Finally one day I noted the rodent must've been gnawing on a bar of fine French soap in laundry room -- little chewed areas around the edges. I figured I'd set the Zapper nearby, using the soap shavings in a bottle cap as bait.
Next morning -- whoa!! The lovely red light was flashing in the a.m. and I braced myself for what might be inside. Well, it was a mouse of some sort -- totally stiff, no bodily fluids to clean up -- neat and easy. Dumped him into a trash bag and took at once to outdoor trash can.
I highly recommend Rat Zapper Ultra and think I'll get a second one. It's been a full week now and no more signs of activity though I still set all traps (at night only as my dog has no access to that area at night) and keep Rat Zapper "on" 24/7.
I keep hearing that if you think you have one rodent you probably have more so I am taking no chances. Three cheers for Rat Zapper! I had no luck at all until purchasing it so I highly recommend it as opposed to an exterminator and poisons.

01/06/2009 Today I got a call from a friend who hired my former pest control company to help eliminate the rats in her garage. After two weeks, he finally suggested she call me to find out what I had used since he wasn't having a whole lot of luck!!
She called the hardware store and they were out so she ordered TWO!
Rat Zapper strikes again! At this rate, pest control companies will soon be an endangered species! lol

01/05/2009 I don't remember just when I got my Zapper, but it has only been around a month. First I was catching mice.....9 so far. Then the weather turned not only wet, but cold, and the last 3 catches have been rats. I don't know what the power is kicked up to from the batteries (I have the classic), but the last rat released some of his body fluids and when I tried to reset the zapper I could hear this buzzing and see this arc from the center plate to the outer plate. Just from observing that electrical arc, I wouldn't want to try touching it myself.

12/28/2008 I live out of town ...lots of hay fields around.. the mice would get under my mobile.. tried poisoning them...then they'd die under there and smell awful.. then mice traps...that was awful..I would throw the whole trap away..didn't want to take them out..had to get brave and reach in and get them out.... Now I DON'T have to.. I put the rat tail by the inside of the back door... when it blinks I go dump it... so much easier then the other stuff..works GREAT! I've had it for 2years.. just have to change the batteries.. it's well worth the money!!!

12/22/2008 My house is next to a wooded area and I also have bird feeders around the hosse. Every 1-2 months we get a mouse who takes up residence, and in the past we have used the victor mouse traps to catch them. I also plugged in the ultra sonic Black-and Decker device that is supposed to drive away the mice in every room. Victor traps worked better than the ultra-sonic device, except my problem was 1) killing the trapped mice, b) cleaning their poop and pee from inside the trap. So inevitably we threw the traps away after they became dirty.
I had been eyeing the ratzapper for some time but did not buy because of their high price. Last week I saw a mouse run from my living room to the basement - and I saw droppings in the basement. I ordered the ratzapper and the day after I set it up I saw the light blink. There was no blood, poo or pee in the trap, just a dead stiff mouse. Disposed him off in the woods - it was great. Baited the trap once again, and the second mouse was dead the next day. I am going to move the zapper in the garage after a few days, and I think every few weeks I am going to set it up just to see what I catch.
The worse thing about a rat/mouse infestation is that their droppings are everywhere and carry all kinds of bacteria and germs and the amount of cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces that one has to do even after getting rid of the rodents costs a fortune in time and money. I have had to throw away every bit of food that was not securely sealed in plastic or metal containers from my pantry last time a mouse was seen in the kitchen.
So - even though the trap is expensive, I give it a thumbs up for -- ease of setting up, 2)attracting the mice 3) killing with no mess 4)and ease of disposal.

12/18/2008 A few weeks ago our attic started sounding like Caltrans was building a new freeway through our house. Every night there was scurrying scratching etc. I didn't want to use poison for all the reasons listed on other posts here. I didn't know what I was going to do because I had no attic access to the area above our bedroom that was being used as a playground. Then I remembered that I had installed ceiling speakers during the last remodel. I decided to try the Rat Zapper Ultra after verifying the dimensions would fit through the speaker hole. I put up the Zapper with the optional Rat Tail. I baited it with cat food. First night - nothing. Second night we heard a buzz and the Rat Tail lit up, one dead rat. Second night - Buzz without the Rat Tail light. I checked it and had a chewed Rat Tail cord and a dead rat. Third Day - Another dead rat. Third night - fourth dead rat. Here's the other odd thing. The rats don't seem to be bothered by their dead cousins. They just went around them and ate the bait.
This thing is the best thing made for killing rats. I'm thinking about getting another one to expedite the end of the rat construction. I only wish they would have put a steel braid on the rat tail.

12/11/2008 Late November of this year, I heard a guy on the radio touting the virtues of this product. He said there was a Classic Rat Zapper and the Ultra Model, he suggested the latter. We have not had a known rodent problem but with this being the first winter without a cat, I bought one (and then bought 4 more as gifts). Michelle didn't like the concept of killing and recounted the times as a kid when she freed mice from traps (her parents had to work harder to love her at these times). I received the Ultra and set it up in the garage just to test the market. A few days later, Michelle called me at work and said there was an orange in the kitchen which had been gnawed on and she saw a rat or mouse in our bedroom (yuck). I said I would come home and set-up the thing and she begrudgingly agreed. While Michelle sat upright in bed watching TV, I set-up the box under our bed and placed the LED indicator next to the TV. While coming to bed with some food, I saw one of God's little creatures shoot from our closet to under our bed (Michelle was warming up to the idea of the RatZapper). It was a full sized rat, grey, yuck. I danced a quick jig in my whitey-tighties and jumped into bed. We have some boxes etc under our bed so what was I to do? Reenact a Tom and Jerry episode; tear the room apart, corner it and bludgeon it with a broom handle?...not this pussy-foot. Several times as we sat in bed watching TV, we heard it scratching around or mumbling to itself after he bumped his head on the bed frame (This rat was either a plumber or sailor). Anyway, a few minutes later, we heard a click and the indicator lights were flashing. Had this product been available in the 50s, there would only be one Tom and Jerry episode.

12/07/2008 I live in NYC, aka mouse heaven. I've had the occasional mouse show up in my apartment, but lately, it seems like they have taken over.
Even when the place is spotless, they still show up.
Within 5 minutes of my husband setting up the rat zapper, a mouse was caught! I'm so happy with this product! Worth every penny!!
2 more were caught during the course of the first night. I can walk around my apartment like I'm the boss and not the mouse.

11/29/2008 A friend loaned me her Rat Zapper Ultra last winter and we caught 10 mice in total. I was very impressed with how well it worked to get rid of the mice.
This winter, same problem. I finally purchased one and was both disgusted and thrilled to have caught a total of 12 in the first two days. The last mouse was caught on day three. The mice have officially been eradicated.
I cannot sing the praises of the Rat Zapper enough. I have told many friends and neighbors about it. This is the best thing around to get rid of your critters. For anyone who is considering purchasing one, I say BUY IT!

11/17/2008 Hi from smoky Santa Barbara.
My story is simple: I left the bag of birdseed and another of granola in the basement, forgetting to bring them up into the house.
Idiot.
My local rat community, knowing a good thing when they see it, moved right in.
I didn't want to poison them or snap them. Ugh. It's not that I didn't want to see them, um, expired, but I didn't want cruelty or maiming.
So I found the Rat Zapper Ultra on Ebay and after reading a bit about it, bought one. It arrived on Saturday and I set it up.
Like you said, it takes a couple of days for the rats to get used to a new thing in "their" territory, but on the second night we heard it zap and we got one.
As an old electronics engineer, I wasn't sure you could take six volts and boost it with enough voltage and amperage to kill a large rodent. I needn't have worried, that rat was dead. Dumped into a plastic bag and reset, we caught another the next night, then two the next day.
So far, we've eliminated six in four days. Wow!
So I wanted you to know how good this thing is, and how much I appreciate that you built your business over on The Ave.
Thanks!
Mark
11/15/2008 I just wanted to let you all know that the rat zapper has been terrific....I just caught our 15th rat today!

11/08/2008 Roof work on my apartment building brought a VERY unwanted visitor - a rat! Glue traps did nothing and I did not want to use snap traps or poison. This afternoon, I purchased the Rat Zapper at a neighborhood hardware store. When I came home I saw a mouse running through my living room. I was pissed! I set up the trap at 8:00PM and the red light was blinking at 3:30am. No more mouse. The rat is next. Thanks Rat Zapper!
Danielle
10/30/2008 I have tried many different methods for getting rid of mice. The spring traps I had been buying were of poor quality and not effective. Finally, someone recommended the Rat Zapper to me. It works perfectly. I bait it with one Reeses Pieces cut in half and it does the job. I turn it on before I go to bed and in the morning, the red light is blinking. It's the easiest, cleanest, most effective method I've ever used!

10/24/2008 Came Back to the RatZapper
I had two of the original ratzappers a few years ago that worked very well.
Unfortunately, I neglected them and they began to corrode when subjected to the elements.
I reverted back to poisons etc. (dumb move) and was not successful. The odors of decaying mice in the walls makes me sick. No more!
We live in a large home in the woods and get all kinds of mice moving in this time of year.
I purposed in my mind, that I was going to rid these critters correctly this year. So, I recently bought a Ratzapper Ultra from the local hardware.
I am very happy (again), and have now cleaned out my fifth kill in a very short-span of time. Approximately, at a rate of 1 per day now. I know that there are more of these rascals left.
Thanks to AgrZap, I now have the appropriate 'shocking' welcome waiting for the rest of the clan.

BTW: I've noticed that there are fewer escapees with the Ultra model. Excellent product!

10/23/2008 Awesome product. It works, works, works! I catch chipmunks with no bait. They are so curious that they just go in the Rat Zapper to check it out and then ZAP! I've seen them go in while I'm standing 10 feet away. Worked perfectly on the mice in the attic, too. A little peanut butter on a saltine and, well you guessed it. Two mice in 24 hours. No mess. Couldn't be easier to setup. Reclaim your home. Get the Rat Zapper and get peace of mind.
Happy Zapper
10/19/2008 I purchased my RAT ZAPPER yesterday. I set it up that evening. I woke up in the middle of the night to find a blinking red light on the zapper. Sure enough, there was a deader than dead mouse. Woke up to get some water a couple hours later and to my surprise the light was blinking again! After waking up and walking my dog, I noticed that there was a third catch! I am extremely impressed with this unit. I had no idea it would perform so wonderfully. I think this product far exceeds poison and glue traps. Especially in that it kills the rodents for you so all you have to do is dispose of it and reset your Zapper. Best product if you have a mouse or rat problem...

10/16/2008 I never realized how great my fear of rodents was until I spotted one scurrying around my small New York studio apartment. For over a month and a half, I used traditional mouse traps, baited sticky boards, mice cubes - nothing worked. After spotting the freaky little thing one afternoon ON TOP OF MY KITCHEN COUNTER, I was at my wits end. I purchased the rat zapper and within 24 hours my unwanted roommate was caught! Thank you so much for this product! Because of it, I have my life back.

10/15/2008 Hi, I called your customer service about 2 weeks ago and asked for help because I was frustrated at not having caught anything after weeks of trying to use the zapper, although it was very clear that a rat was hanging out in my house and eating the dog's food. I had placed the trap near the hole where the rat was coming in the house and the rat just ran right past it on the way to the food. The customer service rep told me to check the trap, which I did- it was working fine; and to move it. That did the trick: I put it next to where the dog eats his food, and in the morning there was a very, very long tail hanging out of the trap and the light was blinking. The next night, I heard more scratching in the wall (darn- thought there was just one in the house!) and put the trap in the same place again. Sure enough, got that guy the next morning. Just in case, I put it out again the third night, and in the morning there was a smaller rat in there. No more scratching, missing dog food, or rodent droppings in the house. Your product really works.

10/05/2008 After trying several methods of getting rid of our rat problem, I finally found the Rat Zapper on line. It worked better than anything we had ever tried, plus it seemed the most humane. We've loaned it out to many neighbors now that our rat problem is taken care of, and it's still circulating around the neighborhood. Thanks for such a great solution.

09/20/2008 I bought two rat zappers at the "tail" end of a bad problem last February. I set one out in the crawl space as a preventative measure. Sure enough, it stood guard for months, until today...blink...blink...with a queasy feeling I went into the crawl space, and sure enough, one dead rat!
It really does work...thanks for keeping watch rat zapper!

09/12/2008 I Have been using the classic rat zapper for about 5 years and just purchased 2 more with the rat tail monitors. These are the greatest and simplest rodent traps ever.
I have had great success with them and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an easy way to eliminate rodents from your home. thanks, rat zapper!!!

09/07/2008 I submitted a testimonial a few months ago after purchasing a Rat Zapper Ultra. My rat count is now up to twenty-two, and I'm still on my original set of batteries. I had to stop zapping rats for awhile because my wife thought the baby rats were too cute to zap. Now that they're grown, she isn't so fond of them. The rats are smart, though. After a week or so of using the Rat Zapper in the same place, they start avoiding it, or bury it with dirt. Then I have to move it and just bait it for a few days with the unit off. That's usually enough to gain their trust and I start zapping all over again. I am impressed day after day by how well this unit works. I can also testify about the humane way it kills the rats. I was out in the barn when I heard a small zap sound. I looked in the unit immediately, and there was a deader than dead rat. Elapsed time from hearing the zap and looking in the unti was probably less than thirty seconds. That sure beats any other method I've tried. No blood, no mess, no suffering. This is the product I'm using from now on.

08/28/2008 The woman who answered the customer service line is correct, the ratzapper ultra IS big enough for squirrels! Thanks to RatZapper I just harvested three dozen strawberries out of my garden - last year I got three total. This product delivers results! Thank you!

Hello Bob,
You may not remember me but about 4 years ago I was helping you design an offgrid system for New Zealand. Anyway, just recently after dealing with much destructive behavior from some rats and mice I came across your Ratzapper at our local Peaceful Valley Farm supply. Let me just say how thankful I am that your product exists as nothing else was getting them and they were eating everything in my garden as well as all of the wiring in my Airstream. Every night that it's set it kills one. I just bought my second Ratzapper classic today and hope to order an Ultra model soon.
Thank you so much for inventing such a useful product. I hope that your offgrid system is doing well. Take care,
Nick

I never had a clue that I had rats at the beach until my dog's food started disappearing.
My RatZapper kills all my rats as well as my neighbor's rats. There is no end it seems! In this latest streak I'm up to 4 rats in three days.
Attached is a photo of the last moment of last night's rat using my Moultrie night vision camera.
BTW, if you put the Rat Zapper on the ground it gets the mice. I eliminate rats when the zapper is placed up high on my wood pile.

08/27/2008 Within the first five nights, the Rat Zapper eliminated 8 of Chicago's finest city rats. These guys are smart and the peanut butter and dog food has not lured them in the last few nights...I hope the rats feel like chicken tonight! Great product, extremely effective.
Chicago Rats
08/26/2008 Like many other people, I tried everything to get rid of the roof rats that managed to get into my kitchen and eat my dogs food and drink his water. These little critters were getting bold and I eyewitnessed them feeding and drinking from the dogs bowls in broad daylight without a care.
I had used conventional spring traps that somehow the rats would get the bait without the trap going off. When they did go off it sometimes left a blood bath massacre scene all over my walls and floor. Disgusting and quite disturbing to me and my kids; not to mention that one time my curious dog got his nose snapped. I had tried glue traps and would find knawd off tails and limbs. I was very frustrated. I wanted them gone but I am kind to all animals and did not want to torture them either.
I purchased a Victor electronic rat trap and followed the instructions. The clever little rats would go in and eat the bait, set off the detector and somehow get away alive. Now I was angry. Those Victor traps cost me $80 for two. The sensor works great, but it didn't kill a darn thing.
I did more research on the internet and found Rat Zapper. I located a local distributer and went and bought two units. I went home and set the two Rat Zappers in exactly the same location as I had the Victor traps. I re-boxed the Victor traps and returned them to Home Depot. By the time I got home I had already killed my first rat. I dumped the critter into a bag and placed it in the outdoor trash. I re-baited the trap, set it and went to the bathroom. By the time I came back, about 3 minutes, there was the red flashing light again. No way....rat number two.
Thank you Rat Zapper. A clean, humane way to get rid of these pests that actually works. I am sold on your product.
Thanks,
RF, CA.
08/21/2008 I have been having problems in my garden with Chipmunks eating my tomato's until i got a Rat Zapper. This product worked great to solve the problem i would highly recommend this to anyone with this problem. I used sunflower seeds for the bait and it did the rest. I also got squirrels.

08/18/2008 It took a while, and a few re-positioning attmepts, but the "smart" city rats finally ventured into the trap and ate the bait (chicken in this case). The next night, I turned it on - whamo! I am up to 5 rats so far.
My advice, get one and be patient. They really do work!

I bought a rat trap. No good.
I bought a smaller mouse trap. No good.
I bought poison. No good.
I bought this small black box thing that is supposed to electrocute them. No good.
I bought glue traps. No good.
NOTHING worked!
I got my RatZapper Ultra last week and set it up. This weekend I was like -- this isnt working either. I got up in the middle of the night and thought, what is that red light flashing. I had a dead mouse! I threw it out, happy to have it gone. Just for good measure I set it again and just came home from work and darned if it wasnt flashing AGAIN!
Thank you Rat Zapper...you saved the day!

08/06/2008 OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! I never write testomonials and was a bit skeptic of all the positive reviews here (Though I should of known with so many positive reviews coming in from New York that the product was great) , but I just got my Rat Zapper classic less than 24 hours ago and already caught my first mouse!!! And the trap was right next to where I've had a sticky trap (loaded with peanut butter) sitting out for 2 weeks with no luck. I'm going to buy one for the garage soon as well. Thank you sooooooooo much. Now my 4 year old daughter isn't afraid to come downstairs to the playroom.
I am a true believer and will sing your praises from the highest mountain tops to the darkest dingiest basements of the world. Look out mice, there's a new sherriff in town!!!!
Thank you.
Christian
08/04/2008 As a born skeptic, it took me a couple of months to decide if I wanted to spend the money for a Rat Zapper. With our mild weather, out rats are a problem year round. I finally got desperate, broke down and purchased a Classic. 11 days and 10 dead rats later, I'm a true believer! (I probably would have gotten more, but on 2 of those nights, the Zapper got triggered by a couple of slugs and a cockroach) Awesome product, great instructions! Thank you!

07/25/2008 Good product with two problems for Hawaii. High humidity sometimes makes it arc and roaches set off the trap. The little trap is large enough to kill a mongoose (two so far). Yes, it is expensive, but will pay for itself quickly. Setting traps is no fun, neither is stepping on a sticky trap. This is a clean quick way to get the job done.

07/18/2008 with a housefull of dogs rat poison was out to the question. old fashioned wood and steel traps'v been replaced by flimsy steel things that just don't work. so i imported the zapper. seems our Melbourne rats are pretty street wise so it took a while to entice the buggars into the chamber. this only worked when we changed the dogs feeding time and baited the zapper with choice titbits like dry dog foood and choc chip biccies. tell you what though, now it's working it's brilliant - no poisons and instant painless death. delivery, by the way, was very impressive in it's speed. thanks from downunder!!

07/17/2008 First of all, I want to tell you I have been using the Rat Zapper for 5 years now, with total success. I've lived in the North County of San Diego since 1981 and didn't even know we had rats, that is unitl 2003. I cleaned my garage and found a huge box of vintage clothes ripped to shreads and 2 "rat balls" that the rats had fashioned from plastic, Xmas lights and newspaper. Then they moved into our hot tub and not only chewed an 1 inch thick cable in half, but pooped and peed all over the entire engine. Then they went after the vegetables in my garden. I bought my frist zapper at The Wild Bird Center in Encinitas. The first week I was skeptical, but then, whammo!
Since then I've probably caught over 200 rats, and 60 in the last month alone. I own 3 rat zappers, and last month was killing 7-10 PER NIGHT. In June, for three days in a row, I caught a rat every 1 1/2 hours from 6:30 pm until the next morning! I kept waking up because the dog was barking, and after a while I was fascinated by the sheer numbers being killed in the zapper. I throw the dead rats in a vacant lot and the crows and hawks feast on them with relish! We even have a hawk that lives in our tree waiting for his daily rat.
What is impressive is the short amount of time it takes to kill a rat. I watched it happen! Less than a second and the animal never knows what hit them. I've seen those glue traps and I don't kow how someone who says they love animals could subject another creature to that kind of horrible death. And don't even get me started on poison, which can kill other animals if they eat them.
To those who just can't get the zapper to work, you must be patient. Rats are very, very smart, and sometimes it takes 2 weeks for them to venture inside the zapper. Sometimes I let them have two free meals, then flip the switch. Sometimes, you will kill one, and then the others avoid the trap. Wouldn't you? So, I turn it off, let 'em have another free meal, and flip the switch again. Dog food really does work the best, and even if there are ants on the food, that doesn't stop the rats.
I also keep mine outside and even though we have a fair amount of moisture, (being by the beach), it hasn't affected the performance of the zapper at all. I look for chewed plants, rat poop and try and put the zapper on a fence because they like the travel high up off the ground.
Rats are not just disease ridden monsters, they are highly intelligent creatures who are successful and adaptable animals. Think like a rat, and you'll have eventaully luck with the Rat Zapper.
Mary
07/13/2008 I purchased the rat zapper last year at our local hardware store. I was somewhat skeptical and thought it was a little pricey.
I already had Vector control out here, tried the poison, tried the old traps, tried the sticky traps and tried the humane traps with no success.
I do not have an over infestation, so when ever I hear something or see droppings, I load it up with fresh batteries and stick it out there and every time I get a catch within a day.
This is the best invention and best investment ever. Thank you.....

The Rat Zapper has been performing awesome for 2 years! And today when I saw a big one in the trap I sure got a suprise. When I pulled it had a smaller one in its mouth! See the photo I attached.

07/07/2008 I purchased the Rat Zapper Ultra in fall/winter '07. I knew I had mice when I saw a bunch of the droppings and could hear them at night in the kitchen. Of course, I have read, it's usually not just one mouse that is invading your property. I used snap traps, only worked about 1/8th of the time and glue boards - those should be outlawed. The mice would just "suffer" on those, it took way too long for them to die and the bucket method did not even work for a second. After investigating on the internet "how to get rid of mice" I found this device. I bought it and the first night, killed a mouse. That was after catching many others with the very inhumane traps. I was amazed and loved the fact that I did not even have to look at it. I put it up for about 6 months and heard some scratching around again, I thought "AH-HA! No you do not go reproducing in my kitchen!" and baited a lid from a pill bottle with some peanut butter and placed a piece of popcorn in it. That same night, my husband and I were sitting in the living room and heard the Rat Zapper go off. I have to admit, that was a little disturbing because the sound of "frying" lasted about an entire minute then there was a slight smell of burnt critter, but I got up and sure enough, a dead mouse! I put it out again and the next night, another dead mouse! I left if out a few more nights and have not had any more! Now I can catch them before they even think of reproducing. I find the best way to bait it is with a small lid from a coke bottle or pill bottle and peanut butter, slide it to the very back and NO MESS! Highly recommended and honestly, this is the best money I have ever spent! Thank you!

07/05/2008 we had to leave a testimonial, in case anyone else has had to suffer through a mouse infestation and is curious about this product.
so far, we have a running tally of nine mice killed, and we're certain that there are a few which we forgot to keep track of. this product really works, and we are forever grateful!
also, the customer service person with whom we emailed (cathi) was very nice and sympathetic to our plight. thanks, cathi!

07/04/2008 I purchased two units about 3 months ago after my basement and storeroom seemed to be totally infected with rodents (droppings, scratching, etc). In the past we had used poison which worked but left us with a terrible smell when the critters crawled behind the walls to die.
Almost immediately the traps began to catch their prey. We have caught appromimately a dozen rather large rats to date. The battle goes on but I feel we have the upper hand with this powerful weapon.

07/03/2008 This is one of the best inventions ever and one of the best purchases I have ever made! Well worth the money. Hey, got it in five days via UPS. Set it up, put a little peanut butter in a bottle cap inside, left it overnight, and voila! It took out a skunk! Fantastic. No more crawling in my gas grill! Everyone with varmint problems should have one of these. Especially, third world countries. Oh, bye the way, you gotta add SKUNK to the list of pests it will control. Thanks a bunch RAT ZAPPER!

07/02/2008 7/2/08-- I purchased the zapper at the beginning of June because the droppings were a bit much and the wall chippings were annoying and it saddened me because I have a two year old that was afraid to go into our apartment living room and would tell me she was scared. At night I would shut the bedroom door and place a towell down to try and keep them out of the bedroom and I would hear the scratching on the towel through the night. The first night I used the zapper i got a red light nothing was in it I was discouraged and ready to return it. The mouse then turned up dead in my kitchen. I have since caught three more mice and I could not be happier no more scratching no more droppings. I almost forgot I had the zapper this week until I woke up this morning and saw the light blinkig and the only thing I could say is GOTCHA!!! This product REALLYYYYYYYY WORKS!!!

07/01/2008 Baloney!!! I believe that the only one who got zapped is me. I bought 2 of the RatZapper Ultra's, followed the directions and ......nothing. The evidence of the rodent infestation, although somewhat diminished, is still there. Maybe the presence of the units scared off some of the rats! Those big, shiny things just didn't look right.
Anyway, I am sorry that I fell for your ads. I suppose it was worth the $100 to prove, once again, that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I'll bet that you won't post this "testimonial" and I hope that you know where you can put it. Meanwhile, if some sucker wants a slightly unused shiny RatZapper, send them to me.

Hi Tom,
I just wanted you to know your testimonial is on our site.
Now, I would hope you will give either Cathi (our technician) or myself the opportunity to speak with you. I am sure we can figure out what went wrong as we do have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee. We here at AgriZap are human and our products are made by humans so sometimes they just don't work. That said, we have a return rate of <1% so I am pretty comfortable in betting we can get you, and your rodent problem, under control.
If you want to send an email to Cathi to start the process, please click on the link http://www.ratzapper.com/support-request.cfm which will take you to the help form from our website. She may take a few days to get back to you and I will not be back in the office until Monday so please give us some time to reply. You can call me at 888-332-3728 on next week if you like.
Have a great Independence Day weekend.

Hi Jeff (and Cathi),
Well, it looks like I owe you an apology. Just when I thought that these things were big fakes (see previous e-mail), darned if one of them didn't catch a big, fat rat over the weekend. It really does work. We have no idea what was different this weekend versus any other. I guess the rat just finally stumbled on to it. We were using peanut butter in a bottle cap. The rat tail was at least 10 inches long. That's what we saw after we smelled it. It must have been Zapped at the end of the last shift on Thursday and had all weekend to cook.
We will re-charge the units and try to catch more rodents. I'll be glad to send another comment for your testimonial site.
Again, please accept my apology for ever doubting your product.
Sincerely,
Tommy G. Perkins

06/23/2008 I ordered the Rat Zapper online after reading some of the testimonials. I had been dealing with the pesky critters for a while and had bought quite an accumulation of ineffective traps. I followed the instructions and put it out with bait for several days but finally couldn't wait to turn it on. A friend was visiting and a few minutes after I put it out, asked why the light was blinking. I was sure that the product was defective and very surprised to find a dead mouse inside. Since then, I've gotten two more and will leave it out until I'm sure they are all gone. I did catch another one using one of the sticky pads but that's a terrible way to catch them. Thanks so much for making a product that really works!

06/21/2008 Until this past spring the chipmunk population on my property has been nothing more than a few here and there... BUT this spring the numbers grew alarmingly (probably due in part to the bird feeder that was installed in the yard - they seem to like like seed as much as the birds!) last year I knew where one burrow was at the back of my yard... at the end of May I counted at least 4 separate burrows with multiple entrances in each - most of the new digging was under the foundation walls of my house and detached garage - something needed to be done before the critters did serious damage (getting rid of the bird feeder was unfortunately not an option). After a lot of research I decided to take a chance on the Rat Zapper and bypass the poison/mechanical traps stage all together. Let me just start by saying ALL of the testimonials I've read are "dead" on accurate - this thing is AMAZING! Using the Zapper outside posed a challenge because ants seemed to love the dog food bait and it needed to be covered if it rained. So I improvised with a pecan paste bait I got on-line, about a teaspoon of the paste on a small square of cardboard from a breakfast cereal box sprinkled with bird seed (no ants after 4 days so far)- put it in the trap and it slides to the back without getting bait on the trap itelf. In the past 4 days I have had the trap under the bird feeder and outside the active burrow holes - so far 11 chipmunks (+3 mice) and counting --- it's been more of a challenge to keep resetting (emptying) the trap - I love seeing the red light blinking. I've used a lean-to setup with a garbage can lid to keep the rain off with the zapper on a short piece of 1x4 to keep it off the ground and it seems to be working great even with some big storms. It really is as good as advertised THANKS FOR SOLVING MY PROBLEM!!!! - If I were to suggest any improvements, it would be a some sort of custom weatherproof enclosure - let me know if you come up with one, I'll buy it ;-)

06/11/2008 I have been finding rat poop around my dishwasher lately, and the noises they have been making in my wall has kept me up at night. I tried to use an old school mouse trap, and the darn things ate the peanut butter, but the trap never went off. I tried a sticky glue trap, and it broke my heart to see the little rodent stuck inside of the glue. I got the rat zapper 2 days ago, and have killed 2 rats already. I just put the rat zapper next to the dishwasher, they seem to climb right in after the bait. No mess, and no feeling sorry for a little rodent in pain.
I would recommend the rat zapper to anyone!
Kellie
06/07/2008 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Rat Zapper! You restored my peace of mind! I've been trying to get rid of one mouse for a week and used every device under the sun...nothing worked until a friend recommended the rat zapper...got rid of that sucker in a day! I live in NYC where mice are a part of life so thank you again!

05/30/2008 We just received our first RatZapper. Wow! Impressive. My husband set it out in the barn, came back in and reread the instructions. It said not to turn on right away, but put the bait in and let them get used to it. So 20 minutes later my husband went out to the barn to shut it off and we already had our first victim. We will be getting more and are so grateful for a way to irradicate without poisons or torture.
Thank you so much.

05/08/2008 This is THE most incredible product! We have pets in our home and were terrified to put out poison--a dog we owned a long time ago had to be taken to the vet once for catching a poisoned rat. Traps weren't working well and our rat problem was getting out of hand. Then we found the Rat Zapper! We got the Ultra model, and let me tell you--it has been money VERY well spent. NINE rats in one day--another would walk right in it literally minutes after we baited again. And these are not small rats, either. Yuck. We're almost free of them--it won't be long! Thank you so much for a wonderful product! I will recommend this to everyone--especially pet owners.

05/04/2008 Hi,
I love my house dearly. And for you husbands out there like myself,we normally have one room in the entire house to call our own (if we're lucky). Well for me, this room is in the basement. I've turned it into a club house, it has a dry bar, big screen TV, you name it. Anyway, I was jamming out on my electric guitar down there when all of a sudden I hear some scampering about in my drop ceiling!!!!! I can't tell you how annoyed, frustrated and just down right angry I was to find out that these critters invaded my sanctuary!!!! Turns out it was mice.
I started out with bait and a few other over the counter remedies. I even employed Orkin, who surprisingly used similar tactics. Well, don't know about you, but I'm a pretty impatient person and I need results yesterday.
So I went ahead and bought the Rat Zapper and placed it in my drop ceiling as well. I also bought the rat tail which I have hanging out of the drop ceiling so I would know when it caught one. A whole week went by, didn't catch one! Then all of a sudden, checked it in the morning and ZAP, it got one!!! Dumped the critter in the trash and reset for my next kill. A couple days later ZAP!!! Got another!! A week later ZAP!! Got another!!! Easy as pie to dump the chump and reload for the next kill.
They may have won the initial battle as far as getting into my house, but I'm winning the war now, thanks to Rat Zapper. Glad to finally get my club house back, thanks Rat Zapper!!!!!

04/25/2008 I can't thank you enough for a product that actually works! I was dealing with a large rat and was terrifed out of my wits. I followed the instructions and gave the rat a few "free meals" so he would trust the food source. I did this for over a week. It was very had to resist the temptation to try and zap that sucker right away. My husband just called me at work to tell me we got him! Again thank you, I am no longer a prisoner of fear in my home.

04/20/2008 We operate a restaurant on the stunning Hawkesbury River near Sydney, Australia. Every restaurant is susceptible to rodent issues, ours in a National Park was extraordinary. I will not use poison as it is indiscriminate and destroys wildlife. We have many native marsupials in Australia that are endangered from cats, foxes and people. So we ended up with very awkward and large european rats. I tried many, many ways of eradicating them to no avail. The very best solution we had was importing beautiful 6-7'+ diamond pythons who did a great job but as they hibernate it only worked in summer. Next best were Eliot traps (spring loaded doors) that do not kill, so you can identify the offender. These were very soon given a wide berth. We did learn that evil rattus rattus (euro rats) were the main offenders. So we got serious with traps . These little buggers though were cunning, would look at us and tease us. Eventually my wife who originally was terrified of the thought of them became an expert in the sizing of these beasts using nothing more that the ratio of rodent body weight to excreta. Australian beasts are generally very neat and tidy. Rats and mice from the northern hemisphere eat everything from batteries to kitchen bench formica and soap. Nothing would stop these instruments of Beelzebub.
Until the Rat Zapper. I became jaded with claims that were myths but thought I would try one more thing. HOLY SMOKESoly Smokes!! WHAT AN EFFECT!! 24 hours and 5 rats.... THIS THING IS INCREDIBLE!!! None of these testimonials are lying. My wife reminded me of Ghostbusters the movie, and it is true...
Light is Green, Trap is Clean...
Light is Red, Beast is Dead....
THANK YOU!!! THERE IS A GOD (who - come to think of it - hopefully is not, or was not in a past life, a rat..)

04/13/2008 Absolutely fabulous device ! The four-legged "customers" have been standing in line. I recommend the use of a bait material that will not draw moisture. Walnut pieces have been good.

04/10/2008 My husband works for a waterproofing company and one of the customers he was servicing one day, gave him this concotion, well that is what I thought . He carried it around in the trunk of his car for 4 years. I would laugh at him because I told him that thing would not work. I used to laugh so hard every time he opened his car trunk and I would see it lying there in the back. So here in the month of February, we went to Louisiana to visit my Dad. While we were there, my dad said that there was a big rat up in the ceiling of the house. I thought the thing was gonna fall right thru the ceiling. So, in a joking manner, I told my dad that my husband carries around this thing in his trunk called the RAT ZAPPER and it might work. My dad proceeded to put it up there... my dad called and said that he saw a huge rat tail sticking out of there.
So, that was really the highlight of our vacation and that really made my husband so happy that he was reassured that he was a part of my family, being accepted thru the love of a RAT ZAPPER! THANKS RAT ZAPPER FOR ALL YOUR HELP!!!

03/24/2008 I'm in my 60's, and have never been impressed by any product enough to write a testimonial. The ZAPPER works. I've had dogs all my life, two or three at a time. They've always had a 5 gallon bucket of food 24-7 on the back porch, so the rats were used to the feeding station. The first night I put the zapper out, I brought the bucket inside, tossed in some dog food and turned on the tv...About 2 hours later I peeked out and the light was blinking. Bingo, rat #1. I used the box the zapper came in as a little coffin, [I felt it was a fitting resting place] I reset the trap and went to bed. Checked it again in the morning. Bingo #2. When my wife woke up I told her about catching 2 in 1 night. She said "That makes 3 " She had checked the trap after I went to bed and there was another one in it. If there ever was a product that delivers the goods, it's Zapper. I will recommend it to everyone with a rodent problem. It WORKS For me to praise a product is unheard of, but this trap is for real, it works.

03/18/2008 The Rat Zapper is incredible! After a local neighbor tore down his barn, his rat population invaded my barn and my nearest neighbor's barn. We're not squeamish about rats, but enough was enough! They were everywhere and getting into the grain despite our best efforts.
I didn't want to poison them or trap them with snap traps, because I think that's cruel, and poisoning just leaves a poison snack for some other animal. I researched electronic traps and was impressed with what I read about the Rat Zapper. I purchased the Rat Zapper Ultra online and, NOT following the recommended method, put some grain in it and set it against a barn wall. The next morning the red light was blinking and there was a HUGE mama rat deader than dead. I reset it, and TWO HOURS LATER there was another dead rat to toss to the coyotes. I am absolutely sold on the Rat Zapper and recommend it to everyone!

GOD BLESS THE ZAPPER!!! I live in a nice home in CA where homes range from 700k - 2mil. Somehow this sucker found his way inside and was feasting in my pantry. I stayed up late one night listening, and I could hear noise in my garage. I stayed up even later and researched rodent defense on the internet, I found hundreds of positive testimonials for the Rat Zapper. The next day after work, I went to ACE hardware and purchased 2 of them. When I came home I installed both and then left to a dinner party with my wife. I came home and expected to find nothing....to my surprise a heavinly red flashing light greeted me in my garage! GOTCHA SUCKA!! ENJOY YOUR DIRT NAP!! THANK YOU RAT ZAPPER!!

02/27/2008 We live in Dallas, on a small lake, your product is amazing. You pay so much for an exterminator to come and throw poison in the attic, and the nasty rat died up there. I could have bought 2 Ratzappers with that money. I love that it is humane, quick, and the best thing is I don't have to see Mr. RAT! Squeamish people will really appreciate this product! Thank YOU!
Dallas Girl
02/19/2008 Got another. This thing really works so well!
As a fellow inventor and patent holder(medical prodcuts) I give this device two thumbs up.
By the way, you don't end up poisoning neighborhood cats (when they eat mice filled with poison) no sticky pads with mice to end up killing yourself, no disease infested blood splatter from spring traps.
Hey, if it's good enough for the Texas and Florida Supreme Courts, it's good enough for me!
Steve
02/14/2008 Well it was very early in the morning when I woke up hearing my mom saying "hey this thing you brought has a red light flashing, it has never flashed before"... I understood already what was going on. I was impressed to see that this big rat was so dead, very dead he he!!!
The previous rat had made my mom's life very difficult. But I knew that an other one would come again in our storehouse in the yard and the fact that Rat Zapper killed it without leeaving any faeces indicates that it visited the heavens right away.
Excellent product, so proud of it!!! Nothing has worked before...
---------------------------
cats: maybe they can do some job with mice (but cats are not always present as zapper is) and after playing they can leave the mouse anywhere! For rats just forget it.
---------------------
traps etc: not really effective, difficult to use, never worked for me, it is possible the rat to eat the bait without triggering.
-------------------------
dogs: for me worked fine, my pit bull - boxer puppy was crazy after the rat, it got mad only by smell, even when the rat was biting it the puppy never stopped and wanted more fight. But you have to be lucky in order to catch the rat that moment of the day, and of course you have to help the dog killing cause the rat escaped many times from his mouth. It is a team work you have to kill it together, you know blood etc... even today when he smelled the rat zapper got mad and I just said: "don't worry the zapper is here"!!!
Thank you!
Sincerely Melsi

02/10/2008 I've been trying for nearly eight months to get rid of what I thought was a mouse crawling between floors. Nothing seemed to work. Snap traps, glue strips, larger glue strips, more snap traps. Then even poisoned bait! This thing was snapping traps, avoiding glue strips, bait disappearing and yet nothing. Also the rodent's return rate was inconsistent with anything I had read on mice.
I found/purchased/received your Rat Zapper last week, and finally today, zapped my unwelcome guest. It turned out to be a small 8" squirrel. Wow! Without your Zapper I never would have eliminated my problem. Clean and easy!!! Many, many thanks!!!
Mark
02/10/2008 Yes Yes Yes, I am so happy! You guys really came through this time. I have brought so much c#@p (yes I said it, c#@p) from so many companies. I was going crazy over these little sneaks runnig around here. When I purchased the Rat Zapper I didn't realize it was so good and easy to use. I even got close friends buying the Rat Zapper also. If you don't have one by now you don't wanna get rid of your problem, and that they are. "TRUST ME YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY YOU MADE THAT PURCHASE". TO ALL MY FELLOW ZAPPERS, ZAP ON SOLDIERS!! OOOH I JUST CAUGHT ANOTHER ONE, GOTTA GO......................
Bink Gotcha Now!!
02/06/2008 Used my Rat Zapper for 3 hours. Got 'em!
Have no doubts about this product, it really works.
Clean, hands free, no blood.
Just bait & wait. Then turn upside down in sealed outside trash. They slide right out.
Very efficient, very clean.

02/06/2008 I did not believe this would work. I zapped rat number 6 today! Wonderful product.

01/29/2008 After four weeks of dealing with an elusive rat , I turned to the internet and found your product. I had tried glue and spring traps with no luck. This rat had already chewed wires in SUV costing me $140, not to mention the insulation around my air conditioner pipes in the attic.
I had to drive to the Houston area to buy the Rat Zapper because I could not find it in my town.
So , I put the batteries in, turned on the switch and went to watch TV ( like the directions told me to). Nothing on the first night, so I re-positioned it next to a wall and near where I keep the dog food.
Night number two... ZAP!!!!!!!!!!
Light was flashing and rat was dead.
Your product is outstanding. Thanks a bunch.

01/29/2008 We bought this flying squirrel infested house about three years ago. We have tried the glue traps and the traditional snap traps to no avail. We purchased the Ultra Rat Zapper last January because of all the testimonials and because nothing else was working. Well, after one full year of use we are sold on this product. We have caught 23 flying squirrels and 10 mice in our attic. It is so easy to use and is the only thing that worked for us. We have recommended this to our family and friends. Our parents are now using one to catch mice in their barn.

01/17/2008 I didn't want to use poisons because we have 3 dogs and 2 cats (that obviously need to be FIRED!) I ordered the Rat Zapper and it came in 3 days. We got our first victim in less than ONE HOUR!! It even came with a sample of dog food for bait!!! Much more humane than sticky traps and not gross like snap traps. We're going to get a few more to give away for gifts!

01/11/2008 My neighborhood is old and has overhead power lines. It is via the power lines that we encounter the nasty creatures we refer to as "roof rats." These little devils can be up to 15" long from nose to tail, and are plenty plump.
I saw your product in SkyMall magazine and thought it would be worth a try. Score! Knocked out about half a dozen within a few weeks. Beautiful! Haven't seen a rat now for several months. But it gets better...
My friend has a brother serving in Afghanistan, and he reports that the rodents over there are abundant and a real nuisance. Getting into their supplies like crazy. She packed up the Tupperware products, and I insisted that she send a Rat Zapper along, too. Guess what? He's the celebrity of his unit for having such a great remedy to their problem. The other troops are begging him to leave the Zapper behind when he gets to come home. So, yes, your awesome product is even helping our troops in Afghanistan. Love it!

01/09/2008 I am forever grateful to your company for this superb device. I did not want to get a cat, however, the mice were running rampant in my apartment. My aunt heard about the zapper from a neighbor and purchased one for me. The first night I used the zapper it caught a mouse, the next there were two in the zapper!!! In the short time that I have had the zapper I have caught 20 mice!!!!! 20 mice!!!! I just purchased one for a family member and have told everyone I know about this great product!! I have told everyone I know about it and thank you again for such a great pest control device!!!!

01/09/2008 I must admit I was skeptical about the Rat Zapper when I saw it displayed at the check-out of our local hardware store. But, after being startled by a rat skampering down the wall and onto the floor of our outdoor gardening shed, I thought the investment was worth saving me a future heart attack!
I hurried home with my new purchase, loaded in the batteries and ran across the lot to our shed. I opened the shed door, looked around for droppings and soon found some on a shelf behind a bag of grass seed. I anxiously set the trap near where I saw droppings, placed four pieces of bait at the rear of the trap and turned on the switch. I closed the shed doors and wondered if I'd find a rat in the trap the next day.
I was so curious the next morning that I trodded over to check the trap in the pouring rain. I cautiously opened the shed door and peeked in ... I instantly saw the blinking red light and a long, bare tail protruding from the front of the trap. It worked !!!!!!
I don't believe I have a large rat infestation in or around our shed, but I am confident that I will soon know for sure. The rat zapper worked the very first night and I am sure I will catch more, should there be more!
And disposal really was very easy, after I got over the fear that the rat might suddenly spring to life as I was holding the trap. No such thing happened and the rat was zipped into a zip lock bag and in the trash in seconds.
Thanks for a great product.

01/04/2008 My uninvited house guest is no more! Just before Christmas, my wife and I noticed a pile of crumbs on our kitchen floor and soon after discovered a small hole at the base of the wood paneling that was behind our Christmas tree. We saw no other signs of a visitor until, while cleaning the house, we lifted up the cushions of our sofa to find that something had been chewing up the sofa tags and foam stuffing!
I went online and found the Rat Zapper and hoped it would work. In the meantime, I had to balance my urge for a quick eviction with a wife who did not want to see a mouse body lying around. I bought a cheap trap that would enclose the mouse if he went for the bait and laid them out last night. However, they went untouched. This afternoon, my Rat Zapper arrived and I put it out in the same location the other trap had been in, behind the sofa, and I went upstairs.
No more than two hours after setting the Rat Zapper, I came back down to see the red light flashing! I disposed of our guest, and my wife did not have to see him on his way out. Thank you, Rat Zapper!

01/02/2008 I live in New York City, a town of eight million, where it has been long said that there is one rat and one mouse for every human being - though from personal encounters, I would say there are now actually three or four. My apartment is on the ground floor of a lovely brownstone in a beautiful neighborhood. For years, I have heard countless frantic mice running around inside the walls and have seen their pitch black droppings every morning. Recently, they have been surprisingly bold; late at night they scamper around the kitchen in plain sight. For a while, they ate the blue poison pellets I left out for them, and that seemed to kill off a generation. However, two months later, their rapidly-multiplying descendants returned with a vengeance - and the intelligence or distaste enough to avoid my blue poison altogether (I'd watch them snobbily walk around the little dishes I left without so much as a curious sniff). My neighbors encouraged me to get the almighty Zapper - but not wanting to see a corpse in any condition whatsoever, I stalled. While purchasing a new non-blue kind of poison on New Year's Eve, somehow the hardware store salesman talked me into getting a Zapper instead - and, on an I've-Had-It whim, I broke down (this store sold it for twice what it costs online). It is now January 2nd - and for two mornings in a row, I've awoken to a victorious red blinking light. The first time, I did peek to see the dead body - but the second, I just shook it into a garbage bag. Looking forward to a third silent triumph tonight. Sort of pathetic, I know, but I have been (semi) tolerantly living with this for two decades. On the ground floor here, I also have rats outside my door (I see them leaping through the garbage cans out the window, hear them hysterically squealing every night, find their repulisive droppings every morning) - but I don't know that I can deal with zapping and disposing them, as rats are the size of small dogs in NYC... But at least my indoor mice are getting a quick ticket out. Thanks - and Happy New Year.

I am writing to express my enthusiasm for your ULTRA trap. I was visiting New Zealand, and discovered a rat in the garage there. I followed your instructions, pre-bating the trap, i.e., putting bait in the trap WITHOUT TURNING IT ON. The next day the pellets were gone, so I re-baited and this time turned the trap on. The next morning, a large male rat was found dead! Noticing that all the bait was gone, I realized that another rat came in the trap, after killing the large male, and ate the bait. Most people don't realize that the presence of a DEAD rat is no deterrence to other rats. In fact, if left long enough, another rat will actually feed on the carcass of the dead one! The next day I had a second rat, this time, a female.
Again, the bait was gone. Since the zapper kills its prey instantly, there had to be another rat. Baiting the trap a third time, I got another female, likely a sister to the first female. Baiting it again, I got a forth rat, this time a juvenile. Again, the bait was gone, i.e. there is still another rat. I continued this routine for several days, sometimes catching more than one rat a day. After five days, and nine rats later, the bait remained in the trap, as I had cleaned the garage of the vermin! What was so astounding about the experience was the sequence of the rodents. You see, as a biologist, I was aware of the rats habits, and having caught the Alpha Male, followed by the likely Alpha Female, it was very systematic after that. The likely aunt rat followed, then in decreasing order of size, the recent juveniles of the mated pair! What a trap! Thank you for a fantastic product, truly the Power Tool for rodent control.

We basically live in a hay field and have been plagued by mice since building here. Like your other customers, Iove tried everything (well almost everything) In desperation, after reading your testimonials, Iove purchased one. 3 days; 3 mice. I like that!!!

10/12/2007 Marcellus purchased a Rat Zapper less than a week ago. He was very excited about his new "toy", as I call it. To my amazement it killed a rat on the first day! So far it has killed three. We are very satisfied customers. Thank you Rat Zapper.

10/09/2007 Just wanted to say what a great product the Rat Zapper is!
I've been plagued by a couple of sneaky rats for the last few months. They have successfully evaded my efforts so far, ignoring sonic deterrents and happily taking the bait without triggering the traditional rat traps that I bought. We have two small dogs, so poison has always been out of the question. In despair, we turned to the Internet and found the Rat Zapper.
We bought a Rat Zapper last week and followed the instructions to give our "guests" a free meal to get them used to the unit being in the garden. After 3 days, the bait was taken, so we reloaded and turned on the juice! This morning, we had our first kill, less than a week after buying the unit.
Thanks again - we look forward to more kills soon!

09/16/2007 We have been invaded by mice and my best efforts did nothing to repel their assault. I saw your product mentioned in an article about mouse control, and I decided to give it a chance. Before I purchased your product, I was using glue traps, which forced me to take the poor little things outside and drop a rock on them. I'd only captured three with that method. When the rat zapper arrived, I deployed it next to the stove and used maple syrup as bait. I caught four mice in one day, and five altogether so far. I plan to purchase several more rat zappers, and regain control of my house. It is rare to find a product that works exactly as advertised. My compliments and thanks for such an effective weapon against mice.
Thanks again!

08/26/2007 Thanks to your wonderful invention, my dog is going to have to start going outdoors for his exercise instead of chasing Mr. Rat indoors!
I called the folks from (a well-known exterminator company whose name has been deleted by editors) to try to help me with my rodent problem about 5 weeks ago, and so far, the only mice/rats we've caught have been the ones who've found their way into the RatZapper Ultra!!
When I caught another one this morning, I called my service technician with the good news. He said he was going to suggest (the well-known exterminator compapny) invest in a few! I couldn't agree more!! lol
Great products! Thanks!

08/15/2007 Hi RatZapper,
I purchased your original RatZapper about a year ago when living in a
brownstone condo in the city of Boston. My building was built in the
mid-1800s, and there was no way to get rid of the mice until I got your
RatZapper. We killed 3 mice, with no blood and guts to clean up anywhere. It was a dream. I told everyone about your product. People laughed, until they had mice, after which they converted to RatZapperdom.
Two months ago, my husband and I moved into a home that is nearly 100 years old, now in the 'burbs. We had unwanted visitors (and I don't mean in-laws) - I saw mouse droppings under my sink, next to my refrigerator, and in an old utility closet. We hired a pest control company for $600 that was useless - two weeks after they put down bait, we were still seeing the mice's calling cards.
Having no idea where my original RatZapper ended up in my move, and at my wits end, I drove 20 miles to Sudbury to the one retailer near me that carried the RatZapper (could you please work on distribution?). Not knowing what size pest I had, I didn't want to take any chances, so I bought 3 RatZapper Ultras - one for each pooped-in location.
When I got home, I put my batteries in the zappers and set them out. 10 minutes later, one mouse was Zapped and dead. I am beyond thrilled. The new version really packs a PUNCH! I look forward to cleanly killing every last one of the deceased's "friends."
Thank you for creating such a phenomenal pest killing machine,
Caroline - Wesley, MA
05/20/2007 Dear Sirs,
Finding ourselves with an unusually high population of chipmunks and
red squirrels this year, with a resulting maze of holes and nests
throughout the property, we were searching for a solution to our
rodent problem. We have tried live traps in the past, but it always
seemed impossible to catch enough of the varmints and difficult to
relocate them far enough away (and local laws do not allow this in any
case). None of us are a good enough shot to use a pellet gun to deal
with them without unnecessary cruelty.
Our search led us to your site on the internet, and your Rat Zapper
Ultra seemed worth a try for the price, so we ordered one from a
distributor here in our province. We were a little hesitant, however,
as there didn't seem to be much anecdotal evidence that the device
could handle rodents as large as chipmunks and red squirrels.
Well, we couldn't be more impressed. Having had the device for barely
over a week, we have so far gotten rid of over 20 chipmunks and a fair
number of red squirrels as well. We will continue to move the Rat
Zapper around the property to problem areas.
Compared to poisons and traditional snap traps, this is a clean and
relatively humane way to cope with rodent infestation. The animals
appear to die instantly, and there is no mess to deal with other than
disposing of the clean carcass.
We would highly recommend the Rat Zapper Ultra to anyone looking for
an effective method of dealing with a rodent problem.
Sincerely yours,
Bill W. and Margaret C. - Ontario, Canada
04/19/2007 I bought your invention about 3 weeks ago & thus far have gotten rid of 4 intruders at my house. I'm looking forward to cleansing my whole backyard and eventually will buy several more Rat Zappers for my restaurants. Congratulations to you on having come up with this wonderful device. A Device that actually works! I'm sure you'll have great success with it.
Sincerely yours,
Jonathan
02/17/2007 Having 7 acres, with chickens, geese, any all kinds of critters we, of course, have a problem with rats. They were eating all of our chicken feed and my husband was loaded for bear!
We read about the ratzapper in a poultry magazine and thought - 'what the heck', we'll give it a try................fast forward 2 weeks later..........just ordered another one, this time, the Ultra and my husband is in heaven. He comes up to me every morning just like a barn cat and gets all excited.........."Another kill"! It's clean and believe me, it works.

01/24/2007 Thank you!
The little beast was getting the better of me. It had outwitted me at every turn, jumped the sticky traps, sprang the snap traps, and turned a nose up at the poison bait. After weeks of trying various techniques, I was relegated to shhh'ing it as it chewed on my house at night. My wife began to suspect that the mouse was more of a man than I and decided that I needed to prove my worth, or be put out. She had had enough. Good fortune led me to your product. The Rat Zapper nailed him on the first night. I can now hold my head high, master of my household once again.
Thank you for saving my marriage and restoring my pride!

12/08/2006 Thank you and Hi,
I know you have plenty of testimonials but I just had to let you know how pleased I am with your product. I had rats attracted by my birdfeeder who eventually decided to make their home in my garage. I tried traps with no success (lots of sprung traps, no rats). I was very skeptical about the ratzapper due to my lack of success with trapping, but since I have 2 small dogs I was very reluctant to try poisons (and rodetrol is currently unavailable). I found a dealer 20 miles from here but was not encouraged by the dust on the packages! After 2 days with no takers I was discouraged, but yesterday I finally noticed the light flashing as I was leaving for work. Clean up was not nearly as traumatic as I had thought it would be, but I was still afraid the other rats (I'd seen 3) would now be reluctant to enter the "death chamber." I'm pleased to report that was not the case. I've now killed 3 and plan to buy another ratzapper to put in my attic just in case. I'm so relieved that my pets were never threatened and I can't tell you what a relief it is to be getting rid of my visitors. I'm going to contact our local feed supply store and recommend they carry the ratzapper. I don't often write to companies but I had to thank you so much for a wonderful product.

11/27/2006 To Friends at AgriZap
Bought your trap...best 50 bucks I've spent-BIG, BIG rat walked in and ZAP . The RED LIGHT flashed and I tossed it into a plastic bag-clean and neat.
Thanks!

09/19/2006 Thanks Rat Zapper!
I tried the standard traps-this guy just set them off and stole the bait. I did catch one scrub jay (ouch!)
When I found the Rat Zapper- I knew as a technology wonk - I had to try it ...I followed the instructions and in two days I was greeted with success. One down, who knows how many to go... Its a great product!

06/28/2006 Just got another one!
Believe it or not, after I replied to you to give you permission to print my first testimonial, I decided (4 p.m.) to set the trap up again just in case there was another rat in the garage. I went back to open a can of food for the cats at 5:30 p.m.; the red light was blinking and another big tail was hanging out the back of the trap! Two rats in less than 12 hours! Made my day...thank everyone there!
Sincerely,
Barbara, Moss Beach, CA.
05/25/2006 Subject: Love your product!
Just wanted to let you know that you have a great product, and it actually works! I live in the Santa Monica Mountains and there is a tendency for a lot of Rat breeding during the springtime. The great thing about your product is that it does not contaminate or damage the fragile eco-system by dispensing poisons and yet gets rid of these disease carriers! It is amazing and as humane as a trap could be! Here is one (photo was attached) that I got coming in at 7-in just in body length. Look at the teeth on it! Im telling as many people as I can about your product. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Brett V
03/27/2006 might say that the rat zapper has solved my rodent infestation problem faster than I could have imagined. My house was built as a school here in rural Scotland in the early 1800's. As befits the severe winters the walls are of thick stone, but later modernisations have seen the interior lined with false walls fixed to the stone on battening. Together with the false ceilings that have been added the whole house is perfect for mice to scamper about unseen and out of reach of our cats. Last year I tried poison baits, the resultant stench was stomach-churning. This year, with the clatter of hidden mice ever in my ears, I stumbled across the rat zapper on ebay. I placed my order and two later the electric assassin arrived, that was on Friday 17th March. Over that weekend 8 mice were zapped, and I was so impressed I ordered another zapper. Now, less than 2 weeks later, the body count is 27, and we are fast running out of victims.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Peter from Scotland
03/06/2006 I live next to Pescadero Canyon in Carmel and every time it rains, we have an incursion of rats. Last year I bought a Zapper and it was great! This year the rains were heavier and the rats a real menace. I bought another one with the high powered batteries, and it was good, too. I cannot figure out why anyone would want anything but a Rat Zapper. You need to focus your marketing on women. I wouldn't use anything else.
